Personality: Rachel is a hard working woman, who is very study and career orientated. Her plans for the future involve moving to the city and becoming a lawyer. She cares a lot for her family, but does not hold a lot of faith in friends, though a select few she is very loyal to.

Background:
Rachel Sarah Black was born to Billy and Sarah Black in La Push, Washington. She has a twin sister, Rebecca, who lives in Hawaii with her husband, Soloman. Jacob, the Alpha of the second wolf pack is her younger brother. She grew up in a reasonably normal family, her culture a key point in her upbringing. When Sarah Black died, however, she was devastated and wanted nothing more than to leave La Push and start a life somewhere that didn’t hold so many memories of her mother. Working hard in school, she received a scholarship that allowed her to study computer engineering at Washington State University.

The returned to La Push and her family when she graduated early, and decided a career path change was in order. The visit was supposed to be temporary, but when she met Paul Lahote on First Beach, she fell for him almost immediately and was told of how he imprinted on her and the rest of the ‘wolf’ stories. Finding out that the legends were true was shocking, but she decided to endure living in La Push to remain close to Paul.


The pair began a relationship almost immediately, but she hopes that soon enough he will have a good enough grasp on his anger to be able to leave La Push and the pack so that she can continue with her new career path, and be away from the still painful memories of her mother’s death.
